Fourthline, a European provider of AI-powered identity verification and compliance solutions, has promoted Fleur de Roos to chief operating officer (COO), effective immediately.
The firm provides technology that helps businesses verify identities and meet compliance requirements, positioning itself as a RegTech player focused on AI-driven processes that support onboarding and risk controls.
De Roos steps into the COO role after serving as general counsel since joining the company in 2022, bringing legal and operational experience that Fourthline said has supported its evolution as it scales.
Her background includes training in law at Utrecht University and early-career experience at international law firm Clifford Chance, where she worked in corporate law and financial services.
She later worked at global trading firm Flow Traders, and then served as a senior policy advisor at the Dutch Authority for Financial Markets (Autoriteit Financiële Markten), adding regulatory expertise to her track record.
Before joining Fourthline, she was a partner at boutique firm Legalloyd, where she helped build a law firm on top of a legal tech company and advised clients on M&A, corporate governance and regulatory matters.
In her new position, Fourthline said de Roos will oversee operational functions including legal, compliance, risk management, HR and business operations, with a focus on strengthening the company’s infrastructure as it targets continued growth across European markets.
